How often should you use algon and how soon can you reapply algon to get the very best results on a yorkshire stone patio.many thanks.

  Hi Richard, it depends on the surface and dampness around the area as to how often to use Algon. If it's quite an open area with not to much shade then an application of Algon can last a long time, even up to a year but it does depend on the surface and the state of the growth of things such as algae or moss and the thickness of these prior to application. You can re-apply Algon if after one application it has not cleaned but we tend to suggest waiting at least 3 weeks just to see how effective the Algon has been. Is Algon ok to use on Tarmac? There appears to be white marks after using it 4 days ago

  Hi Julie, yes Algon is fine to use on tarmac and will clean the surface effectively. If you do see any white marks this is just a reaction from possible over wetting of the surface when you applied the Algon. This will weather away or you can rinse it off once the Algon has been on for a couple of weeks. Please just let us know if you need any further advice.

I have a green mould on the fabric of my boat spray hood, the fabric is a sort of treated canvas. It is very difficult to remove. Would Algon be suitable and if so how would I use it

  Hi Rod, thank you for your enquiry. Algon does work well on boat canopies and fabric and we do have a lot of customers who purchase it for this use. It should clean the residue that has formed effectively but it would be our advice to spot test an area prior to a full application just to see if it is suitable for this type of matter. It will be absolutely fine to use on the fabric and should not affect any waterproofing treatment that may have been applied when the boat hood was purchased. Algon does not treat what we refer to as black mould which can appear on paving so I would suggest sport testing an area and waiting a week or so to see if the Algon has worked for you.

  Apologies for the delay, I have only just seen your comment. Yes you can use Algon on pond features but we advise to be mindful of the run off into the pond. A small run off is fine though. Hi I've sprayed my bungalow roof after taking down large tree, thick with moss 25mm thick sprayed and soaked moss, it's killed moss but moss still present, been 2 months what should I do please
