*A small amount of Algon Patio Cleaner entering pond water will not harm fish or plant life but care should be taken to keep run-off to a minimum when working around ponds. Caution: Algon Patio Cleaner is not recommended for use on marble, unpainted steel and galvanised surfaces. May temporarily discolour lead. Spot test colour paving flags. Spot test any material not listed. Always read the label.
Algon can be applied at any time of year, however it works best in dry conditions.
For best results apply in dry conditions allowing the application enough time to dry before rain is expected.
For the concentrate, dilute 1 part Algon Patio Cleaner to 3 parts water and apply preferably with a garden sprayer set to deliver droplets. Alternatively a soft broom or paintbrush will do; a watering can is often wasteful. Wet the surface evenly, spreading at approximately 5-6 sq.m per litre as suggested below.
Algon Patio Cleaner will scorch grass, foliage and flowers where it makes contact.
NB. Excess wetting or puddling may result in small patches of white residue forming; this is harmless and will weather away. Non-metallic implements are recommended for application purposes; rinse implements after use. Do not throw rinse water on grass or plants.

Algon will start to clear the surface within a week or so and stays active, cleaning progressively for months to come. Oil stains and grime will require alternative treatment.

Algon Patio Cleaner has a shelf life of many years. It is recommended to store Algon Patio Cleaner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maximize its shelf life.
Yes. Algon Patio Cleaner will not affect any type of paint or stain. Wait for the surface to clear for up to ten days and proceed as per paint manufacturers instructions.
Algon Fence Cleaner is safe for use on wooden fences with concrete and timber posts. It can also be used on wooden garden furniture, wooden planters, wooden play structures and pergolas.

Algon Fence Cleaner should be fine on composite materials but spot testing is recommended.
Algon Fence Cleaner has been specifically developed to target cleaning vertical wooden surfaces. It has the same quality organic active ingredient as Algon Patio Cleaner but a different surfactant along with a different concentration of both the active ingredient and surfactant. When diluted to use it clings to vertical surfaces for longer, slowing the absorption of the active ingredient and effectively cleans the surface.

To apply dilute the product 4 parts water to 1 part Algon Fence Cleaner, this is different to the standard Patio Cleaner dilution. We recommend applying with either a garden sprayer on larger areas or a paintbrush to be more specific on parts of fence panels or furniture/planters.
If using a garden sprayer we recommend using one with viton seals. If using a standard garden sprayer with rubber seals this will work fine however please make sure you rinse the sprayer and seals thoroughly after use.
